Bob Quincy Award
Each year since the 1964 meeting, the Sportsman's Club of Charlotte presents the Bob Quincy award to a regional sports-person of significant accomplishments for that year. The award presented to the Sportsman of the Year is named for Bob Quincy, an avid sportsman who was the five-time winner of the NC Sportswriter of the Year award and who was known for his love of North Carolina sports and for his storytelling ability. In addition to his many award winning writings, Bob Quincy was an ardent supporter of sports in the Charlotte community and was an active member of the Sportsman's Club for over 20 years. It is fitting that this award bears his name.
